I was born in Palo Alto and grew up in the Bay Area with my mother. I don’t know much about my father, because I didn’t know him. As I got older, I got into some bad things that only God could get you out of. I lost my son to gun violence and it took a toll. Life has been hard.
Road Twenty-Two has enabled me to turn my life around and like myself more. Working here has helped me get better at working with co-workers and doing things I thought I never could do such as trimming, bagging, tagging and more. I just turned 52 and finally got housing in a SRO and steady pay. I can now take care of me. I’m grateful to Road Twenty-Two for giving women a chance.
